CAPELIN FIXED GEAR FISHERY CLOSING IN A PORTION OF WESTERN NL

DFO advises that the Capelin fixed gear fishery (trap, bar seine - including tuck seine), for vessels less than 19.8 metres in overall length, will close at 1200 hours on July 11, 2019 in the following area:

Big Brook to Cape Bauld

Harvesters are reminded that all fishing gear must be removed from the water by the closing time.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2019-141 has been revoked and Variation Order 2019-144 comes into effect on July 11, 2019.
