Mandatory Humane Harvesting Training for the Commercial Seal Fishery – March 2019
Humane Harvesting training sessions are currently scheduled for March 2019, as outlined below.
Whitbourne - Monday, March 25, 2019 - Lions Club
Grand Falls - Tuesday, March 26, 2019 - Mt. Peyton Hotel
Plum Point - Thursday, March 28, 2019 - Plum Point Motel
Deer Lake - Friday, March 29, 2019 - Deer Lake Motel
Training schedule:
9:00 a.m. - Humane Harvesting
11:00 a.m. - Quality / Handling / Health
These workshops are being delivered specifically for Sealers that are looking to obtain a Commercial Assistant Licence.
Fisheries and Oceans reminds all Commercial Seal licence holders that Humane Harvesting Training on the three-step process is mandatory for all Commercial Seal licence holders.
