2019 Snow Crab Season Opening

In accordance with section 52 of the Atlantic Fisheries Regulations, vessels are not authorized to leave port with crab traps onboard before the start of the season. 

Therefore a new condition of licence advises that the Snow Crab fishery will OPEN for the purpose of SAILING to the fishing grounds only.  

In addition, this condition of licence advises when harvesters can SET their gear (which was the traditional opening time).
