Removal of Snow Crab Exclusion Zones in Areas 6C and 8A
DFO advises that fishing activities will be authorized in the former 6C and 8A Snow crab Exclusion Zones as of May 14, 2019. This change is in accordance with fleet recommendations.
This prohibition has been removed from licence conditions and harvesters may now set gear in the area defined below.
New licence conditions are available from the National Online Licencing System (NOLS).
6C (Eastern Avalon Exclusion Zone) :
Cape St. Francis at 47 degrees 48.3 minutes N, 52 degrees 47.46 minutes W to
