DFO INSHORE FISHERY OUTREACH MEETINGS (NAFO Division 3KL)

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans will host a number of meetings along the Northeast and East Coast of the island portion of the Province (NAFO Division 3KL) over the next few weeks. The intent of these meetings is to provide inshore harvesters and other interested stakeholders an opportunity to discuss matters of concern in current inshore fisheries. Our primary goal will be to discuss the recently released document "What We Heard: A Discussion on the Newfoundland And Labrador Inshore Fishery", which is a compilation of the issues raised at last year's outreach meetings. As well, we want to hear any new concerns that harvesters may want to bring forward. These meetings will be held in the following locations:

Bonavista, Lions Club, Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 1 - 3 P.M.

Clarenville, Bill Davis Chalet (44 Tilley’s Road), Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 6-8 P.M.

Hants Harbour, Recreation Centre, Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 10 A.M.-12 P.M.

Bauline, Community Centre, Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 7:30-9:30 P.M.

Trepassy, Social Centre, Friday, February 8, 2019 from 10 A.M.-12 P.M.

NAFO Division 3K

Triton, Town Office, Monday, February 11, 2019 from 6 - 8 P.M.

Virgin Arm, Lions Club, Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 10 A.M.-12 P.M.

New-Wes-Valley, Lions Club, Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 6-8 P.M.

Fogo, Anglican Church Hall (Centre Island), Wednesday, February 13 from 10 A.M.-12 P.M.

St Anthony, Lions Club, Tuesday, March 12 from 1-3 P.M.

Additional meetings are planned for residents of NAFO divisions 2J and 4R3P. Locations and dates will be released in the near future.
