FIXED GEAR (BARR SEINE) HERRING FISHERY CLOSING - FORTUNE BAY

DFO advises that the herring fishery for vessels using fixed gear (bar seine) in Fortune Bay, Herring Fishing Area 11, east of Pass Island, will CLOSE at 1800 hours on Saturday, March 30, 2019. Landings will be assessed at this time and possibly reopen pending available quota.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2019-019 has been revoked and Variation Order 2019-022 comes into effect at 1800 hours on March 30, 2019.
