FIXED GEAR HERRING FISHERY CLOSING - Gillnets/Trap Nets - FORTUNE BAY

DFO advises that the herring fishery for vessels using fixed gear - gillnets/trap nets - in Fortune Bay, Herring Fishing Area 11, east of Pass Island, will CLOSE at 1800 hours on Sunday, May 12, 2019, as the quota is expected to be taken.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2019-050 has been revoked and Variation Order 2019-055 comes into effect on May 11, 2019.
