2019 2J3KL Northern Cod Stewardship Fishery – Extension to Season
Harvesters are advised that the season for the 2J3KL Cod Stewardship fishery will be extended to 1800 hours Saturday, November 30, 2019.
Landings for the period up to and including October 27, 2019 are 9869t, which is 80% of the maximum authorized harvest amount. DFO will continue to monitor landings, and if the maximum harvest amount is reached, the fishery will close at that time. The closure will be communicated to harvesters via a Notice to Fishers.
Revised conditions of licence are required to continue to fish after November 16th and will be available through the National Online Licensing System (NOLS) on or before Friday, November 1, 2019.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2019-265 has been revoked and Variation Order 2019-282 comes into effect on October 30, 2019.
