Reminder - 2019 Expression of Interest Greenland Halibut (Turbot) for 2+3K and 3LMNO

DFO wishes to advise harvesters who want to participate in the 2019 <65' fixed gear fishery for Greenland Halibut (turbot) in divisions 2+3K or division 3LMNO, that they must submit an expression of interest application to Fisheries and Oceans by close of business Friday May 24, 2019. Applications are available by contacting Fisheries and Oceans at (709) 292-5095.

For the 2019 fishing season, permits will be used to manage both the 2+3K and 3LMNO Greenland Halibut (turbot) fishery. Once all expression of interests has been received, the permit trip limits for fisheries in 2+3K and 3LMNO will be set.

Fish harvesters are required to email or fax expression of interest application to the Resource Manager at kelly.firmage-o’brien@dfo-mpo.gc.ca or fax number 709-292-5634. Applications must be received by Fisheries and Oceans by May 25, 2018. A valid e-mail address must be included in the application as all future correspondence will be conducted by email. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.
